SLEAZOIDSShow Notes
Hosts Josh and Jamie and special returning guest filmmaker BenDavid Grabinski discuss much maligned and probably unnecessary but admirably weird and ambitious nu-metal era sequels to horror classics: Katt Shea's THE RAGE: CARRIE 2 (1999) + and Joe Berlinger's BOOK OF SHADOWS: BLAIR WITCH 2 (2000).
Next week's episode is a patron-exclusive bonus episode on SILENT NIGHT DEADLY NIGHT PART 2 (1987) and SILENT NIGHT DEADLY NIGHT 3: BETTER WATCH OUT! (1989), you can get access to that episode (and all past + future bonus episodes) by subscribing to our $5 tier on Patreon: www.patreon.com/sleazoidspodcast

Hosts Josh and Jamie and special guest horror filmmaker Anthony Leroy kick off SLEAZOIDS THE 13TH, an entire month dedicated to the highs and lows of our buddy Jason, and one of the original texts about the ritualized murder of horny teenagers that has since become the cultural fascination with sex-and-death slashers. Starting with Sean S. Cunningham's humble summer camp serial killer "hangout" murder mystery original FRIDAY THE 13TH (1980) + Steve Miner's hastily greenlit sequel yet marginal technical improvement FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2 (1981).
