Sound Off 975 - Brock Lesnar RETIRES, Chelsea Green INJURED And AJ Styles SAD TWEET?
Solomonster Sounds OffShow Notes
The wrestling world lost Dory Funk Jr. this week, one of the more legendary names in the history of the business, and I'll talk a little bit about why that is. Brock Lesnar also announced his RETIREMENT this week and I've got a lot to say about that, too, including how legit I think it is, what his legacy will be and the best Brock matches of his career. Plus, thoughts on the WWE/AAA tournament to crown a challenger for Roman Reigns in Mexico City... Smackdown thoughts from Friday on Kevin Owens and CM Punk's first face-to-face, Tatum Paxley's debut and then injury that could DERAIL Chelsea Green's title run before it even begins... AJ Styles sticking up for his son leads to SAD TWEET honors for this week... why the Paramount deal to acquire WBD, in my opinion, appears to be DEAD and what that means for AEW... Grand Slam Mexico fallout with the return of MJF... and my DARK SIDE OF THE RING REVIEW on the quick rise and tragic fall of The Renegade from WCW.

More from Solomonster Sounds Off
Solomonster reviews AEW Dynamite coming out of WrestleDream with the in-ring debut of Ilja Dragunov, the Young Bucks gets SQUASHED, the teams for the men's Blood & Guts match are announced, Jay White and his crew turn heel and link up with The Dogs and more. Definitely better than many of their post-PPV episodes!
Solomonster reviews WWE Raw from San Diego with ANOTHER Roman Reigns return, this time to confront his Crown Jewel opponent in Sami Zayn, and to assist The Bloodline in fighting off the 946. Plus, Chad Gable saves the show again with another excellent Intercontinental title defense, the Funko Pop joke that WILL NOT DIE, and Bayley pitches the stipulation for her blowoff with Lyra Valkyria.
It's been three weeks since AEW star PAC passed away and now that we know the cause of death, it just makes the story even sadder... the latest on Crown Jewel still being planned for Riyadh... WWE and Montez Ford hit with 14 COUNTS in a lawsuit claiming an "unwanted sexualized lap dance" took place on Raw and why the suit does have merit... why Carmelo Hayes joining 946 on Monday was great, and why Smackdown on Friday was NOT great... then it's my full AEW WRESTLEDREAM REVIEW with thoughts on the Clockwork Carnage main event, Ilja Dragunov's debut and thoughts on Adam Copeland announcing his retirement in 2027... plus YOUR questions on The Rock and 946, doing Roman against Oba BEFORE Wrestlemania, someone explains why they didn't like my War Games idea and who had the worse Reign of Terror, Triple H or Jeff Jarrett?
Solomonster reviews a horrendously boring two hours of television with WWE Smackdown and tries to make his review more entertaining (a low bar, indeed).
Solomonster reviews the final AEW Dynamite before WrestleDream with more qualifying matches with Clockwork Carnage, Adam Copeland announcing his retirement for 2027, a bad injury update on Christian Cage and a Collision teaser for the pending debut of THE MAD DRAGON.
