Spurs 1-3 Crystal Palace | Five Defeats in a Row

An Echo of Glory

Show Notes

Another night to forget at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Crystal Palace came to N17 and left with all three points, handing Spurs a fifth consecutive Premier League defeat in a game that felt like it turned on one moment. Dominic Solanke gave us the lead in the 34th minute and for a brief spell it looked like we might finally get that first win of 2026. Four minutes later, Micky van de Ven was shown a straight red card for hauling back Ismaila Sarr on the edge of the box, and the game was gone. Sarr tucked away the penalty, Jorgen Strand Larsen made it 2-1 in stoppage time, and Sarr grabbed his second in the seventh minute of added time to send Palace in 3-1 up at the break. Ten men and two goals down. The second half was damage limitation. The Boys are live to break it all down. Where does this leave Igor Tudor? How bad is the relegation picture? Jake R, Jake S and Gary are back for a post match reaction show after Spurs finally got off the mark in the league. Roberto De Zerbi's Tottenham Hotspur welcomed Coventry City to North London on Monday in pursuit of a first Premier League win this season, and collected a 3-1 victory over their newly-promoted visitors. James Maddison gave Spurs their first lead of the season with a brilliant first time finish from the edge of the box. Against his old club too, which made it even sweeter for him. The win moves Spurs out of the bottom three after James Maddison, Omar Marmoush, and Ben Davies scored against Frank Lampard's Cov.

What a game that was. We are back this morning to pick through the bones of a proper rollercoaster at Old Trafford. Tottenham Hotspur were the dominant side for 60 minutes, but Bryan Mbeumo turned it all upside and put Manchester United ahead, only for Dominic Solanke to equalise in stoppage time, following Rodrigo Bentancur's red card.
