Show Notes
As a grown-up, you don’t get many lucky dip opportunities, except for this podcast - it’s a risk every time. The Hooney Mooney’s have hedged their bets and are running every day of Advent, and by golly, is it an event (absolute scenes!). If you make it out of the labyrinth that is our opening chat, come hither and thither to somewhere that’s green. Reward gratification validation of notifications and subshrub, undershrub, and shrublets are on the menu this week in Missy’s tip top topiary chat - Like a sculpture but made of tree. Hannah, delves into the depths of nutrient poor bogs and gives the snippy snap on the Venus fly trap - hinged lined lobes and all. It’s a rambling, brambling aMAZEing episode, knot to be missed!
More from Thoughts on a Run
It’s nippy zippy chat this week because Hannah is thriving in a fast-paced environment and Missy trimmed the fern. How many bananas do you reckon the very hungry caterpillar could slam? With a week to go, the Auckland Marathon chat is coming thicc and fast. Missy gets deep and has grand old time delving the depths (over 1.6km), length, and width of the Grand Canyon. You can count on Hannah to puzzle out some sensational sextillion Sudoku prattle. Go on, give it a go (the answer’s nine), be a tidy Kiwi, no matter where you are, and get this in your earholes.
It’s a cheering chat this week, Missy talks about how sweaty she is for far too long and Hannah still can’t say the word ‘simultaneously’ correctly. Hannah hoons up some tip top hopscotch history. Missy checks on the veggies and then delivers some suspenseful, startling, fantastically frightful analysis of the magic, beauty, and art of the jump scare. Just like a classic scary movie, it’s not over until the final scare. The horrors persist and so does this podcast!Hop to it and get this in ya earholes.
It’s a hard knock life for our listeners because the hills are alive with the sound of Mooney’s. This week’s ep is a two hand lift. Missy is high on a hill with a lonely GOAT (Julie Andrews) herd as she yodels her way through some nun-tastic nattering about the cult classic musical film: The Sound of Music. Hannah is a sweet treat and peaks with some tip top, swish Swiss Toblerone choc chat. P.S. Missy was right, it is a portmanteau.
You’ve lucked out this week and it’s all downhill from here (you decide if this is a good or a bad thing). If you make it past the simple addition and spelling tests, you donut want to miss Hannah’s tasty doughnut yaps, it’s a hole in one. Missy drops a U-turn as she traverses the immensely challenging and disruptive rise and ultimately triumphant fall of the Berlin wall. Pretty sure Missy gets her East and West mixed up so please bear with and shout out to the Berlin Marathon! Give me pastry, give me potatoes, give me cheese and get this in ya ear holes.
The wind was howling and the Mooney’s were a’hoonin at the Cambridge Half Marathon. Despite exceptionally gusty conditions, we did blooming amazing (shout out to the daffodils). Missy has so much salt on her face but is on the ball with some inkcredible ballpoint pen chat. After many failed guesses, Hannah flip flops, slaps, and slides into some solid slide (the footwear variety) gasbagging. Hoon a foot holiday and let you piggys play peek-a-boo.A podcast, like a biro is a transference mechanism, so, feel pleased, hold the overtake, and get this in ya ear holes.
