Show Notes
The penultimate episode of season 4 has arrived and this is the one where LENA OLIN IS BACK!! This is the one where we learn Irina didn't die and our team needs to rescue her before they head to Russia to stop Sophia and Sloane from unleashing the Mueller device on the world. It's also the one with one of Bree's favorite exchanges of the entire series. You will find the referenced Television Without Pity recap here. More from A Simple Alias
This is the one where we say goodbye because actually, we don't have all the time in the world? But also, we don't have time to mourn right now (because we have to talk about the finale). This is the one where Sloane becomes immortal, where Jack and Irina aren't immortal, and what do you say? "Simple alias, who know? Could be fun." Because yes, this is also the one where Jess and Bree got the name of the podcast. And it's also the one where they talk about the season and series as a whole. We reference this Alias Oral History from TVLine and this Entertainment Weekly interview (both from 10 years after the finale) in the episode. In our penultimate episode we learn the true definition of "Reprisal" and how it ties in to our storylines. This is the one where Sloane kidnaps Marshall and Rachel and Carrie is back to save the day (she's a total rockstar). This is also the one where APO is destroyed and we lose Tom way too soon. This is ALSO the one where Bree (@bleach226) and Jess (@jesspkoehler) lament the lack of streaming of other favorites (there's a tie-in, we promise...you might have to squint), and they leave us on the shortest cliff ever since the finale aired just minutes afterwards. In an episode called "No Hard Feelings," we get A LOT of hard feelings from just about everyone in this episode (you'll just have to listen to hear who Jess and Bree decide isn't having any hard feelings). Sydney is undercover as Anna as Sydney (and yes, that is confusing), Dixon and Vaughn are on a mission to save Sydney, and an old friend comes to play as we go to a maximum security prison. Oh, and Rambaldi is maybe a graffiti artist? MUSIC: The featured music in this episode matches from streaming to original.
This is the episode where Sark is back and Jennifer Garner knocks it out of the park playing Anna playing Sydney. This is also the one where her rivalry with Anna finally ends. This is ALSO the one where we FINALLY get Vaughn back in action and our Syd and Vaughn reunion! MUSIC: The featured music in this episode matches from streaming to original.
