Locked On NFL – Daily Podcast On The National Football League

Show Notes

The Los Angeles Rams were hailed as the Super Bowl favorites coming into the season, but through six weeks they have been the NFL's biggest disappointment. That was hammered home by their massive loss to the Arizona Cardinals and every question possible about the Rams should be asked now. The Houston Texans are no stranger to come backs and they look like they are about to do it again after their impressive win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Caleb Williams returned for the Chicago Bears and so did their offense against the Atlanta Falcons in a beatdown. Finally, the New York Giants finally lost a game, but in the process may have gained a quarterback as JJ McCarthy looked clearly better than Jameis Winston and should be the starter going forward.

The San Francisco 49ers moved to 6-0 on the season after their win on Monday Night Football and with the closest competitor at 3-3 in the NFC West, Brock Purdy's crew has somewhat shut the door on the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams. In the AFC West, the Kansas City Chiefs remain undefeated off a bye and have a great shot to keep their momentum rolling. In the NFC North, the Minnesota Vikings come off a bye also still undefeated, but with the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears surging, the Vikings lead isn't safe. Finally, in the AFC North, the surprise Cleveland Browns lead the division, but with everyone sitting with only two losses, the lead is far from safe.
