🎙️ SHOW NOTES — 1001 Radio Days Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar Starring Bob Bailey as the man with the action‑packed expense account This week brings two sharp, character‑driven Dollar cases — one involving a mysterious woman whose charm hides a dangerous secret, and another centered on a jeweler whose brilliance may extend far beyond the legitimate trade.
💃 Episode 1: "The Latin Lovely Matter" Johnny is assigned to investigate a claim involving a captivating woman whose beauty and charm have left a trail of admirers — and more than a few unanswered questions. What begins as a simple inquiry into a suspicious policy quickly becomes a maze of conflicting stories, hidden motives, and a past the "Latin Lovely" would prefer to keep out of sight. As Johnny follows her trail, he encounters jealous rivals, shady business partners, and a string of clues that point toward a scheme far more dangerous than a broken heart. To crack the case, Johnny must decide whether she's a victim… or the architect of the trouble swirling around her. A stylish, seductive mystery with a classic Dollar twist.
💎 Episode 2: "The Ingenious Jeweler Matter" A respected jeweler with a reputation for brilliance becomes the center of an insurance investigation when a valuable piece goes missing under circumstances that don't quite add up. Johnny Dollar is sent to determine whether the loss is theft, fraud, or something far more elaborate. As he interviews employees, competitors, and clients, Johnny uncovers a pattern of clever misdirection — the kind only a master craftsman could design. The deeper he digs, the more he realizes that the jeweler's ingenuity may extend well beyond the workshop… and straight into the world of high‑stakes deception. A crisp, clever case built on precision, personality, and the kind of twist that made the series famous.

A lightning bolt strikes the tower's rod, surges down the wire, and detonates the installation — killing Burton instantly and leaving Johnny shaken but alive.
