The Process with Brooke Dawson

Taming Your Ego and Trusting Your Intuition w/ Coco Dee | Ep 42

The Process with Brooke Dawson

Show Notes

Coco was a millionaire at 23. She lost everything at 32, and again a few years later. At 40 she's rebuilding for the third time, and this time she's doing it by ignoring the outside noise and listening to her gut.

In this episode I sit down with Coco Dee, who moved to Australia from French Polynesia at nine, ticked every box she was supposed to, and still felt boxed in by a life that looked “perfect” from the outside. She's built and lost businesses worth tens of millions, and the thing she credits the rebuild to isn't strategy. It's intuition, the one tool she says is free, that every woman has and almost none of us are taught to use.

We talk about why she kept hitting the same ceiling and losing it all rather than pushing past it, and the day she woke up and decided she couldn't keep recreating that pattern for the rest of her life. We get into taming the ego so it stops running the show, why you own 50% of every situation you're in whether you want to or not, and how the way you do everything else is the way you do money.

If you keep waiting for a big dramatic moment before you're allowed to change, Coco's whole point is that you don't need one.

In this episode, I sit down with Andy Hoffer, a manifestation coach who has been helping people consciously create the lives they desire since 2019. Her own journey with conscious manifestation began in first grade, when she realized she had manifested a broken leg, proof that we are always creating, whether we realize it or not. Andy believes we are manifesting 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To her, manifestation is not about forcing life to give you something. It is the art of getting out of your own way. While manifestation itself is natural, becoming a conscious manifestor requires the courage to look in the mirror, take ownership, and transform from the inside out. She has manifested everything from her family to money, from jobs to cars, and from homes to parking spots. We get into what manifestation actually means to her and why it's less about forcing a specific outcome and more about getting clear on the feeling underneath what you want, then letting go of how it arrives. She shares the four tools she leans on, prayer, journaling, meditation and fasting, and the idea that your current life is already a manifestation of the beliefs you're holding, whether you chose them or not. And we get into why the life you want often asks you to let go of the one you worked hard to build. Connect with Andy: Website: andyhoffercoaching.com YouTube: @andyhoffer

In this episode I talk about the walls we build around what we think we're capable of, usually without ever noticing we've built them. I share two moments from the last couple of weeks where I caught myself doing exactly that, and what happened the second I stopped believing the story I'd been telling. The thread through both is simple: the limit was language, not ability. I was always capable. I just didn't think I was. At the end I walk through something you can try yourself, to start spotting where you've decided this is as far as I go, and to test whether that's actually true. -------------

Helen once watched a room full of brilliant researchers jeopardise potential funding opportunities, not because their work wasn't good enough, but because they couldn't communicate it effectively. That was the moment she realised how many smart people with important ideas are held back by the one skill nobody taught them.

Shreya spent most of her life letting other people decide who she was. If someone told her she was capable, she was capable. If someone told her she wasn't doing a good job, she believed that instead.
