Show Notes

The New Adventures of Nero Wolfe presents “The Bashful Body,” episode 11, originally broadcast on NBC on December 29, 1950. Sydney Greenstreet stars as Nero Wolfe, with Larry Dobkin as Archie Goodwin.

An orchid shipment draws the famously homebound Wolfe to a New York flower shop, where Archie discovers a murdered orchid grower hidden among the displays. But when the body vanishes, Wolfe and Goodwin must follow a baffling trail through the flower trade, strained relationships, and a most inconvenient missing corpse. Produced and directed by J. Donald Wilson, this original radio mystery is based on the Nero Wolfe characters created by Rex Stout.

Old Time Mystery Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
