In this episode of The Bible Show, Sam and Will continue their series in the Gospel of Matthew by walking through Matthew chapter 3 and the start of Jesus’ public ministry. They talk about the long “gap” between Jesus’ childhood and His baptism, then focus on John the Baptist’s message: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” You’ll hear what repentance means in everyday life, why confession can be freeing, and why John preaches in the wilderness instead of the temple. The conversation also explains why baptism matters, what it symbolizes, and why John says Jesus will baptize “with the Holy Spirit and fire.” If you are new to Christianity or Bible study, this is a practical guide to understanding repentance, baptism, and why Jesus’ baptism reveals who He is. If this helped you, share it with someone who is curious about Jesus and the Bible. Like, comment, and subscribe for more.
