Episode 315 - Samus's Percentages: How Likely is a Metroid 6 Reveal in 2026 + More!
Omega Metroid PodcastShow Notes
After another long layoff, everyone’s favorite gameshow SAMUS’S PERCENTAGES returns! The premise is simple: we make a statement and give a percentage on how likely to be true that statement is, 100% being a certainty, 0% being an impossibility. This week, we're looking forward tackling Samus's Percentages like: is Metroid 6 revealed in 2026 or not? Does Metroid Prime 5 continue the Sylux storyline? Will Metroid Dread get a Switch 2 enhanced edition? Does Metroid Prime break 3 million in total sales? Is the Mario Galaxy Movie going to end up the highest grossing movie of the year? All this and a TON of more great questions posed, so get in this week and hang out, and be sure to give us your own Samus's Percentages!

It seems hard to believe, but Metroid Dread turns five years old this week, celebrating it's anniversary on October 8th of this year. To honor the game, the fellas relive the legendary development, reminisce about the reveal and how wonderful seeing Dread reborn was, talk about all the new mechanics and ask if any 2D Metroid can ever not have any of these improvements, go over the E.M.M.I. concept and if it was worth not getting Dread for 15 years for, weight in on their thoughts on the story then vs now, and talk about the sheer quality of the game made it the most successful Metroid title to date. All this, PLUS we tee up Castlevania: Belmont's Curse as Doom is playing Symphony of the Night for the first time, and for those who prefer written for: a look at Metroid Dread five years later!
We are back to finish off your questions this week, tackling topics such as: what would an all-morph-ball area look like? Does MerceurySteam sacrifice mood and atmosphere for action and pace? Will Samus have a new suit in Ravenous beyond what we've seen already? What kind of DLC would we want to see? Could Nintendo give us a shot of Samus in a cloak?? All this and so much more, PLUS we tee up next week's Metroid Dread 5 Year Retrospective!
Omega Metroid is back again this week! Even as we approach the end of September, we're still pumped about the announcement of Metroid Ravenous and the injection of excitement it's given the Metroid community. We've spent three whole episodes since the game's announcement discussing our intial thoughts, hyper-analyzing the trailer frame-by-frame, and speculating on where the story is going. Now, we're passing the microphone to YOU, the listeners! We've curated several questions across our various social platforms to answer all of your burning questions about Metroid Ravenous. You gave us so many questions in fact that we couldn't even fit them into a whole episode! Should Ravenous have a stalker-type enemy similar to the E.M.M.I. or SA-X? What can Ravenous improve over Metroid Dread? And what do we think Adam's fate is? All this and more is answered today!
This week, we have some fun speculating and theorizing where the story of Ravenous could take us. We discuss whether this will be the start of a new Metroid arc, or if it will tie up the loose ends from Metroid Fusion; theorize on who the assassins could be; talk about Samus possiby struggling to control the powers of the Metroid Suit; talk about the likehood of Raven Beak, Ridley, and Exelion Star Corporation playing any story significance; and Andy pitches a character he think should be revealed as the ultimate mastermind, and you won't guess who! Al this, PLUS some Castlevania: Belmont's curse updates, and a little of what we've playing lately. Come hang out!
