Lipps Service with Scott Lipps

Show Notes

Caleb Shomo joins Scott Lipps for a revealing conversation about his journey from the Ohio music scene and Attack Attack! to becoming the frontman and creative force behind Beartooth.

Caleb looks back at the early days of crabcore, growing up in a religious household, joining Attack Attack! as a teenager and spending his formative years on the road. He opens up about depression, drinking, sobriety and the circumstances that ultimately led him to leave Attack Attack! and start Beartooth.

He also talks about publicly coming out, how that changed the way he approached Beartooth's new album *Pure Ecstasy*, and the role Jordan Fish played in encouraging him to make the record as personal and honest as possible.

Plus, Caleb breaks down the new music, his changing image and creative energy, and gives Scott his Top 5 heavy bands of all time and favorite new pop artists. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
