Brawl Stars August 2026 Update: New Brawlers, Brawler Blast System, and Duolingo Crossover

Brawl Stars Daily

Show Notes

I’m Max Gaming, and right now Brawl Stars is in a major news cycle with a huge update window opening at the end of August 2026. According to SportsDunia and GameMarket, the August 29 Brawl Talk revealed two new Brawlers, Cosmo and Vince, a new Duolingo collaboration, and a big progression change called Brawler Blast that is replacing Starr Road as the main Brawler unlock system.[1][4]

The biggest headline is the new Brawler Blast system. GameMarket reports that players will now use Credits to enter a random unlock screen for a rarity tier, and Supercell is giving 1,500 free Credits during the transition.[4] SportsDunia says this system goes live before the next season on September 1, 2026, and that Cosmo is tied to the September season while Vince arrives later in the Brawloween season.[1]

The other huge talking point is the Duolingo crossover. Both SportsDunia and GameMarket say the event features Duo, Duolingo’s mascot, in a special boss-style mode for up to 20 players, with questions that affect buffs and debuffs during matches.[1][4] GameMarket adds that the community event begins September 19 and includes Duolingo-themed rewards, while SportsDunia says the collab is part of the next season’s event lineup.[1][4]

Social discussion is also centered on seasonal content. GameMarket reports new back-to-school skins, Moon Festival skins, and Supercell MAKE skins, plus new gameplay additions like Hide and Seek and Prop Hunt, new Buffies for several Brawlers, new Hypercharges, and a Chuck rework.[4] SportsDunia also notes new skins and a broader content push for the September and October seasons.[1]

On the esports side, sport.ua reports that NAVI’s Brawl Stars team won the Brawl Ball League Season 9 LAN final in Cologne, taking a $5,000 prize and their first major LAN trophy.[2] That matters because it adds momentum heading into the last-chance Brawl Stars Championship qualifier in October 2026.[2]

In the broader community, Japanese gaming news says Mirrativ and FENNEL have launched B-BASE, a new Brawl Stars community project aimed at connecting casual play, teams, and tournaments.[6] There’s also ongoing everyday discussion around codes and rewards, with late-August coverage noting only cosmetic promo codes and no legitimate free-Gems codes.[9]

So if I’m calling it straight, the Brawl Stars conversation right now is being driven by three things: a major progression overhaul, a very unusual Duolingo collaboration, and a healthy esports scene building toward the next championship push.[1][2][4][6]
