Episode 26 Bree Leech

House of Style

Show Notes

The path of a stylist is rarely linear and simple. You find people start in one spot and often divert down a multitude of avenues before landing in the role. And the same goes for this week's guest, Bree Leech. Where to begin with Bree... she's a stylist, trend forecaster, colour guru, pop culture addict and overall creative soul. With roots in interior design, Bree bobbed and weaved her way through the industry, from choosing colours for carpet companies to now predicting trends, colours and looks for upcoming seasons.

It takes a keen eye to know what is around the corner and we break down the process with Bree, understanding what you need to look out for and what shapes trends. She works with the biggest brands to create campaigns, from Dulux to Laminex, this is one creative lady who has her finger on the pulse! Plus, we chat about upcoming trends, whether feature walls are a yay or nay, and find out what Bree is currently binging on tv (it's a classic!). Get out the crystal ball because we're looking into the future to see what's trending! Let's see what's coming up next...

This week Kerrie-Ann and Jono revisit the world of interiors magazines, albeit from a slightly different angle. We're talking with editor Tanya Buchanan who overseas not one but TWO homes titles, Australian House & Garden and Belle magazine. We explore the path she took through the world of publishing, with a pit stop at RM Williams along the way, and how she made her way to run two of Australia's most successful homes titles.
