Who is Mystery Babylon in the Book of Revelation? Is the great harlot Rome, the Vatican, ancient Babylon, a worldwide religious system, or the future city of Jerusalem? In this combined Bible prophecy study, we examine Revelation 17:1–6 and the controversial interpretation that Mystery Babylon represents an end-times Jerusalem associated with the Antichrist's kingdom. We explore the woman riding the scarlet beast, the seven heads and ten horns, the golden cup of abominations, the purple and scarlet garments, and the mysterious name written upon her forehead. The study also examines the connections between Mystery Babylon and Israel's high priest, the symbolism of spiritual harlotry, the blood of the prophets, and the persecution of the saints during the Great Tribulation.Through passages in Revelation, Daniel, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Exodus, Matthew, Luke, and 2 Thessalonians, we compare Scripture with Scripture to investigate the identity of Babylon the Great.Topics Covered:Who is Mystery Babylon in Revelation 17–18?
