With the chasm behind them and their goal almost in sight, Oisin and his weary kin make camp in the shadow of the Dark Woods. But rest offers no refuge. The Rot twists memories, turning comfort into torment, and old wounds bleed anew and ghosts of the past begin to walk the forest. As the corruption spreads and tensions rise, can they hold together long enough to face what lies ahead? The path through the Dark Woods grows cruel. Cosain’s deceit is uncovered by Breagáin while Old Screech and Oisin turn to the Rot’s promise of power to survive what waits ahead. The forest itself resists their passage, twisting against them as they draw closer to the Rot’s source. Trust frays, tempers crack, and the line between survival and surrender begins to fade...
