WHO WAS BETTER: THE DARTS LEGENDS OF THE PAST OR THE SUPERSTARS OF TODAY? 🎯
Fire up the Darts For Kids TIME MACHINE because we’re travelling through the history of darts for one enormous showdown!
Imagine Eric Bristow, Jocky Wilson, Dennis Priestley and Phil “The Power” Taylor standing on one side of the oche… and Luke Littler, Luke Humphries, Gian van Veen and the incredible modern generation standing on the other.
WHO WINS?!
In this episode of Darts For Kids, Darren Rees investigates whether today’s players really are better than the legends who helped build the sport.
We compare HUGE averages, World Championships, nine-darters, dartboards, equipment, prize money, practice, junior academies, pressure and just how much professional darts has changed over the decades.
Could Eric Bristow have averaged even MORE using today’s boards?
Would Luke Littler have dominated the darts world of the 1980s?
How incredible was Phil Taylor’s SIXTEEN world titles?
And does throwing better darts actually make somebody a GREATER player?
From smoky venues and enormous characters to million-pound world champions and teenage superstars, we’re putting OLD DARTS against NEW DARTS and attempting to answer one of the biggest questions in the sport.
Today’s players might be driving the fastest cars darts has ever built…
But the legends helped build the road. 🎯
