**Lyrics Below.** *You Are My Refuge* is a driving 70s Style Southern Rock- Roots-Rock song about running to Jesus as refuge, shield, and shelter when the storms of life close in. **El Shaddai** is a Hebrew title for God, traditionally translated **“God Almighty”** or **“Almighty God.”** The song draws especially from the imagery of Psalm 91, where the one who dwells in the shelter of the **Most High** abides under the shadow of **the Almighty**. In Hebrew, **Elyon** means “Most High,” while **Shaddai** is traditionally understood as “Almighty.” Together, the imagery expresses trust in God as protection, refuge, and security in times of danger and trouble.
