Sex work is becoming more polarised than ever in today's society. We have a ready availability of porn and a prevalence of people joining OnlyFans, yet the UK Online Safety Act effectively bans sex workers from being allowed to advertise online, and there is an increasing level of accepted misogyny and violence towards women in the media. So what is it really like to be a sex worker in the modern day? And how do men, and women, treat you? We sat down with Meg Rees (https://www.instagram.com/bunnystattoos/), former stripper, sex and relationship podcaster and now tattoo artist and author to explain how working in a strip club at a young age changed the vibe of her life forever. How has that experience shifted him as a person? We sat down with him to find out. Follow us on Instagram Support the show on Patreon
Ever felt like the world stole something from you? The western world has never really recovered after the 2008 financial crash, and millennials and Gen Z have felt the full brunt of that with years and years of noticeable decline. We spoke to Sean Hickey, head of content at PoliticsJoe, about his personal struggles in Ireland after the crash, and how it changed the vibe of his politics, and life, forever. Is bald bad or is bald back? Being a bald dude has never been more of a hot topic than right now, with Pitbull holding the world record for bald caps at a recent concert, and Hypebeast declaring being bald to be this summer's hottest accessory. But is this just a temporary phase or is bald back to being beautiful forever? We sat down with Nathanial Cole, founder of Swim Dem, DJ, mens mental health advocate and sexy bald guy, to discuss the sudden shift in how bald men are being seen in the world. A lot of fighting is about masculine expressions of strength and power, which is often co-opted by right wing or fascist movements. But are combat sports themselves inherently right wing? After the Trumpian spectacle that was the UFC White House card, we explore whether there has been a political vibe shift in two men (or women) battering each other to pieces. low us on Instagram Support the show on Patreon
Our first guest on Tangible Vibe Shift is Fopé Ajanaku, an LGBTQ nightlife writer and seasoned party veteran. Fopé's vibe shift is about how it feels like clubbing is no longer fun - and how the excitement and spontaneity seems to be missing from both UK venues and partygoers.
