A Reddit story titled "Something Happened 63 Years Ago That Has Haunted Me My Entire Life" recounts the chilling experiences of a man reflecting on his past as he turns 75. He recalls a summer in 1950 when, feeling isolated after his only friend moved away, he discovered a hidden door in the basement of his local library. This door led to an enchanting yet sinister library that he visited frequently over three years, until a fateful encounter on his 12th birthday changed everything.

On that day, he met an enigmatic old man who revealed a dark truth about his mother, leading to her tragic death. The old man offered the boy a choice, promising refuge from the hardships of life. The protagonist's life becomes intertwined with the haunting memories of that encounter, as he continues to smell a sickly sweet scent associated with the old man during significant traumatic events throughout his life. The story raises questions about the nature of the library, the old man's identity, and the protagonist's ongoing struggle with his past.

Another story shared in the episode, "I've Loved Reading Your Stories. Let Me Tell You Mine," follows a teenager who babysits his siblings one snowy night in Colorado. When he hears knocking on the window, he discovers a man outside who is not one of his friends. The situation escalates into a terrifying encounter as the intruder, part of a mysterious cult, attempts to harm his autistic brother. The teenager's quick thinking allows him to escape with his siblings, leading to a dramatic confrontation with the intruder that results in a police investigation. The story explores themes of fear, survival, and the lasting impact of traumatic experiences.
