Being grounded is SO important.
Jesus modeled this for us when he would go to be alone with his thoughts and in prayer in the wilderness. Whenever he was overstimulated, emotional or preparing for a big sermon, he would retreat to a safe and quiet place away from the noise to pray.
We were also given the sabbath and commanded to keep it set apart for rest and renewal of our minds, bodies and souls. This is the fourth commandment.
Reseting, resetting and rejuvenating are hardwired into us. And there is research to show that what both God the father and Jesus modeled are imperative to our recovery and sanity. (Green exercise, NRF2 pathway activation, fighting inflammation).
