Show Notes
We are back ahead of a massive weekend of Group One racing — Woodhead, BJ, Lloydy, Pat and special guest Luke Hilton (Racing Manager for Bjorn Baker Racing) in the studio.
We run through the big headlines from the week including Treasurethe Moment’s defeat as a hot favourite, Godolphin’s resurgence at the elite level, and the Doncaster weight allotted to Autumn Glow - fair rating or hype tax?
Then (in between putting shit on each other) we dive straight into the key races.
At Randwick we break down the Guy Walter Stakes and try to find a bet in a tricky market, debate whether Tempted can turn a dominant first-up win into a maiden Group One in the Surround Stakes, and assess whether the short-priced favourite in the Verry Elleegant Stakes is simply a put-in take-out job given the trainer’s extraordinary record in the race.
Down at Flemington, it’s all eyes on the Australian Guineas — speed maps, pressure and whether the in-form leader can control it or a popular contender can land his first at the top level.
The Leg Up — ready for a huge weekend.
