Show Notes
Micky Ward isn’t just the inspiration behind the movie The Fighter—he’s the definition of grit with a conscience. In this episode of Legally Golf, Brooke sits down with the boxing legend to go past the movie and into the real story: what Hollywood got right, what it softened, and what it couldn’t possibly show. They talk the bond between a fighter and trainer (especially when it’s your brother), the hidden costs of taking punishment, Micky’s CTE diagnosis and decision to donate his brain for research, and why he’d rather be remembered as a good person than a great fighter. Plus: the wild “hand tamper” freak accident story that somehow didn’t stop him.
