June 11th, 1986. Pelican, Alaska. A 17-year-old cannery worker named Wade Tackett takes a borrowed skiff out alone for an afternoon cruise near Junction Island and never comes back. Searchers find the boat first - throttle open, engine in gear, fuel nearly full, two unused life jackets still aboard, along with a rifle no one ever tested for gunfire. The Coast Guard calls it a drowning. Wade's parents struggle with that conclusion. Over the next decade, strangers across two countries — a hairdresser, a bartender, a hotel clerk - will swear they served, styled, or spoke with him, down to a pineapple shirt no flier ever mentioned. Nobody agrees on what happened to Wade Tackett. They just keep seeing him. 🔎 Become a Northern Crimes Patreon member: https://patreon.com/northerncrimes 📺 Subscribe to Northern Crimes on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@northerncrimes 📺 Subscribe to our sister channel, Southern Crimes: https://www.youtube.com/@SouthernCrimesYT ⭐️ Leave a comment and review wherever you listen to podcasts⭐️ 🛜 Follow us on social media! Starting in 1997, women from Edmonton's streets began turning up in the farm fields outside the city. One man was convicted in a single death; most of the cases remain unsolved, and no one agrees on how many women belong on the list.
