Chuck Chamberlain is still, to this day, a giant in the world of Alcoholics Anonymous and this famous talk of his demonstrates why. Give it a listen and let us know what you think! About Chuck C. Chuck Chamberlain was born in Indiana and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 19. Before entering the recovery community, he built a successful career in real estate and supermarket development. In 1956, he purchased City Refrigerator Inc., a business he operated with his son for 14 years. Chuck got sober in January 1946 and went on to become a resident of Laguna Beach for 26 years before retiring in 1970. He was among the earliest circuit speakers in recovery, pioneering multi-day talks that would later inspire countless others. His influence on the recovery community remains profound even decades after his passing. Chuck sponsored Clancy Imislund and deeply impacted figures like Sandy Beach and many others. Chuck Chamberlain passed away from emphysema in 1984. His ashes were scattered at sea following cremation. His timeless book, A New Pair of Glasses, originated from a series of talks he gave at a retreat—recorded and later transcribed by Clancy Imislund. The book continues to be available online and remains a cornerstone in recovery literature. ========= For more information about this podcast, sponsorship, supporting our work (7th Tradition) or to contact us, please visit our website at www.aapodcast.org.

This is a wonderful share from one of the funniest Al-Anon speakers I’ve ever heard! A truly inspiring and entertaining talk from one of the best NA speakers, Troy “Anchovy” S. This recording is packed with laughs while carrying a strong, heartfelt message of recovery. Highly recommended! From Wikipedia: “Narcotics Anonymous (NA) describes itself as a ‘fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem,’ following the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions developed by Alcoholics Anonymous. It is the second-largest 12-step organization.” ======= For more information about this podcast, sponsorship, supporting our work (7th Tradition) or to contact us, please visit our website at www.aapodcast.org.
