Show Notes
It’s that time of year again, folks! The time has come to summon the ATTT All-Stars for another one of our patented over-the-top All-Stars episodes. Longtime listeners of the show know how this goes. Shannon Hurley, Dustin Prince, Matt Dinan, Joe Lavelle, David Daskal and Gabe Scalone are on hand, and fans of the Old Boy Himself Ryan Blake fear not, he’ll be joining us for Part 2 of this mega episode. It’s the All-Stars, and they’re here to help us celebrate the 45th anniversary of the birth of MTV. On August 1 st, 1981 at the stroke of midnight, the world of music and popular culture at large would never be the same, as MTV was born. We’re getting in the wayback machine and taking a look at the videos played during the first hour of MTV, and we’re ranking the songs using our patent pending Worst To First format. Part 1 of 2 features the bottom of our list, and picks 16-9. Things start off rough but as we do with the Worst To First format, the songs get better and better as we go along. WE WANT OUR MTV!

More from All Time Top Ten
We don't mind sayin' it! Happy Halloween from your terrifying and terrified pals at All Time Top Ten. This is our 15th Halloween Spectacular, a tradition that goes all the way back to 2012 if the math is correct. With us as always is the king of Spookytown, the great and terrible Matt Dinan. Also on hand is a good friend who might be in the running for Number One Nick Cave Fan, the incomparable Kate Bundy. As ATTT's resident Cave-heads, Matt and Kate are taking over the show to bring you Top Ten Nick Cave Albums, our career-spanning look at the greatest works from the Edgar Allan Poe of rock n roll. Picks 10-6 are featured here in part 1 of 2.
This is meant as a high compliment. Joe Lavelle is a fount! A fount of great topic ideas for All Time Top Ten, that is, and this one is a classic. Shoutout to all of you wordos and sentence-heads, we did this one for you. Top Ten Songs Whose Title Is A Complete Sentence comes equipped with some important English language lessons, as well as a fun hang and excellent playlist provided in part by the esteemed Joe Lavelle.
