The Grave Talks | Haunted, Paranormal & Supernatural

Summary

A recent discussion highlights the eerie experiences reported in haunted pubs, particularly focusing on a pub in England with a history dating back to the 1600s. Staff members frequently hear unexplained footsteps in the empty upstairs rooms after closing, leading to a culture of ignoring the sounds. One former employee recounts their initial skepticism turning into acceptance as they too began to hear the footsteps and encounter ghostly apparitions, including a mysterious man seen in a closed-off area of the pub.

The conversation also touches on Fort Mifflin in Philadelphia, known for its paranormal investigations, where visitors can explore normally restricted areas overnight. The hosts express their reluctance to sleep in such a haunted environment, sharing personal anecdotes about the unsettling atmosphere of old buildings. They reflect on how the presence of spirits in pubs might go unnoticed due to patrons being preoccupied with their drinks, suggesting that the lively atmosphere could mask supernatural occurrences.

Listeners share their own ghost stories, including experiences at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, North Carolina, where guests report strange noises and sightings attributed to the hotel's infamous "pink lady." The hosts discuss the nature of these encounters, pondering whether they are playful spirits or something more sinister, and emphasize the fascination that such haunted locations hold for both visitors and staff alike.

Show Notes

Working in a pub that dated back to the 1600s, he never found the idea of ghosts especially surprising. The staff already had stories. Footsteps moved through empty rooms upstairs. People occasionally caught sight of a man near the back of the building. Even the cellar had a way of making you feel as though you weren’t quite alone. After a while, it all became part of the job. He stopped checking every strange noise. He stopped wondering who might be walking around after closing. Then one night, while locking up alone, he heard those familiar footsteps again. Only this time, they didn’t stay upstairs. #RealGhostStoriesOnline #HauntedPub #EnglishGhostStory #HauntedEngland #GhostlyFootsteps #HistoricHaunting #ParanormalActivity #PubGhost #GhostEncounter #TrueGhostStories Love real ghost stories? This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE! PART TWO Long before “ghost hunting” had a name, Bruce Halliday was already paying attention. Growing up in a Brooklyn apartment building, Bruce experienced something that stayed with him—a deceased family friend who seemed to linger in the halls, present in a way that felt unmistakably real. It wasn’t dramatic or theatrical. It was quiet, personal, and impossible to forget. That early encounter didn’t fade with time. Instead, it planted a question that followed him into adulthood: if the dead remain close, how might they communicate? While others dismissed the idea, Bruce kept listening—especially to the sounds buried inside static and radio interference. Years of curiosity and experimentation eventually led to the development of what became known as the ghost box—a device that transformed random frequencies into something far more unsettling. Voices. Responses. Fragments that seemed aware. What began as a childhood encounter became a pursuit that helped reshape paranormal investigation—and how we listen to the unseen. #TheGraveTalks #GhostBox #ParanormalHistory #TrueGhostStories #AfterlifeCommunication #EVP #ParanormalResearch #HauntedBrooklyn #ClassicEpisode #LifeBeyondDeath Love real ghost stories? The Bell Witch remains one of the most enduring supernatural legends in American history. Beginning around 1816, the Bell family of rural Tennessee reportedly experienced strange animal sightings, unexplained knocking, scratching inside the walls, moving bedcovers, and physical attacks on young Betsy Bell. Then the unseen presence began to speak. Before long, neighbors and visitors were coming to the Bell farm hoping to hear the mysterious voice for themselves. The entity eventually became known as Kate, and according to the legend, it could sing, quote Scripture, torment Betsy, mock John Bell, and even predict what it intended to do next. Many of the story’s most famous details were written down decades later, making it impossible to separate every fact from folklore. But more than two centuries later, the Bell Witch is still one of America’s most famous ghost stories. #BellWitch #BellWitchHaunting #GhostStories #Paranormal #TennesseeGhosts #GhostLegend #HauntedHistory #AmericanFolklore #TrueHaunting #Folklore #HauntedLegend Love real ghost stories? This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE! PART TWO In the early 1900s, Boyd was a thriving rural town, home to more than 500 residents. Today, fewer than 200 remain—and one house continues to draw attention for reasons that can’t be explained. Known locally as the Boyd House, the home has become the center of persistent paranormal activity tied to its former occupants and the life that once filled its rooms. Stories surrounding the house point to Fred and Minnie Eckhardt and their eleven children, raising questions about whether remnants of that family still linger within the walls. Footsteps, voices, and unexplained activity suggest the home may not have fully let go of its past. Our guest, Jill Shelley, has spent years investigating the unexplained with St. Croix Paranormal. In 2018, she purchased the Boyd House, intentionally stepping into a lifelong goal of owning a haunted property. Today, the home is open year-round to investigators seeking their own encounters with the unexplained. #TheGraveTalks #BoydHouse #HauntedMinnesota #RealGhostStories #ParanormalPodcast #SmallTownHaunting #MidwestHaunts #TrueHauntings #ParanormalInvestigation Love real ghost stories?
