Three years ago Chelsea legend Gianluca Vialli passed away at the age of 58 from pancreatic cancer.
Gianluca signed for Chelsea in May 1996 as a European Champion, just days after winning the European Cup with Juventus. From the day that he stepped through the door, he captured our hearts and achieved his dream of becoming a Chelsea legend, winning trophies as a player and manager.
Three years on from his passing, Bloomsbury Sport Books publish "The Gentleman - Gianluca Vialli and how he changed English football forever"
Written by his close childhood friend Luca Dal Monte, this is an intimate portrait of the man behind the legend, filled with evocative photographs. Drawing on exclusive interviews with Antonio Cabrini, Tim Shaw and Cizo Pezzotti and featuring a cast of characters that include Gianluigi Buffon, Dennis Wise and Ruud Gullit, the book reveals Vialli's character, leadership and vision on and off the pitch.
