Safe Hands or Lack of Ambition? | Celtic's Martin O'Neill Gamble & Coaching Staff Uncertainty

We're back for our pre pre-season catch-up as the 4Tims get together to discuss one of the biggest stories of the summer so far: Martin O'Neill's appointment as permanent Celtic manager.

After what was widely expected to be a short-term interim spell, Celtic have decided to hand O'Neill the job full-time. But was it the right call? We debate whether the decision represents sensible stability from the club, a lack of ambition in the search process, or whether O'Neill simply earned his chance after steadying the ship.

We also get stuck into the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the backroom team. With reports suggesting that Celtic have been lowballing contract offers to members of O'Neill's coaching staff, it's now more than a week since his appointment and supporters are still waiting to find out what the managerial setup will actually look like heading into pre-season.

Finally, we round up some of the latest transfer rumours doing the rounds and discuss what Celtic's squad still needs ahead of another huge campaign.

All that and plenty more from the Bhoys as we gear up for the new season. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
