You can read another report or listen to an interview from somewhere else. Then you can compare it with the news you already know. I do not mean that English reports are always right. No language has all the facts. But English can give you more choices. Get the full text on my website for free: https://speakenglishpodcast.com/391-english-and-the-news/

Hi, everybody! I'm Georgiana, your English teacher and founder of SpeakEnglishPodcast.com. Recently, one of my students from Singapore asked me a very good question: "How does listening help me speak English?" Maybe you've wondered the same thing. You probably know that listening is important, but how does it actually help you speak? When you listen to English that you understand, your brain hears many examples of how English works. You hear common words, useful expressions, pronunciation, rhythm, and the way words naturally go together.
