We are gleefully busting out the blue logo and the Fitz tags bc we read Robin Hobb’s latest RoTE offering, ’Ash’. Hobb read this excerpt (which she said may or may not end up part of a longer novella) at LA Con in August 2026.
The Dawson stans are shaking in their boots, Kit comes in clutch, we were rooting for you Cithrin! and Geder... well Geder is covered in cat pee as was prophesized. Join us for The King’s Blood Ch 33-36!
What would you do if a guy threw a bag of spiders at you? Would you become preoccupied with WHY a man even HAD a bag of spiders? Would you forget about it immediately? What’s the best way to incapacitate a legendary fighter? IS a hole in the ground full of cat pee the absolute best place for a wine date? That’s right, we’re reading The King’s Blood Ch 29-32!
Join the crew as we continue our read through of Daniel Abraham’s The King’s Blood. We have local film crew updates, film reviews, more pop culture references and oh yeah, there’s an attempted coup in this one!
In this section of The King’s Blood, Dawson continues on his way to our MVP character choice, Cithrin is making money moves, Geder makes libraries look bad and Clara is deeply invested in the social order.
