Federal agents raided the home of Rep. Ilhan Omar as part of an investigation into alleged immigration fraud – including accusations of lying about her birthdate and a sham marriage to her own brother. Now for the first time in US history, a sitting member of Congress could lose both her seat and her citizenship.
But Alan Dershowitz doesn’t think it will get that far.
“I think she will resign,” says the attorney and Harvard Law professor emeritus, to Newsmax. “I don’t think that she’s going to want to see congressional investigations.”
It’s a dramatic turn from Dershowitz’s 70 years of loyalty to the Democratic party. In his new book “Why I Quit the Dems: And So Should You!” Dershowitz details why he finally walked away from the party as it abandoned its centrist foundations, surrendered to radical activists, and normalized ideological extremism embraced by politicians like Rep. Omar.
