The message is scripture-laden from the Old Testament on how God delivers when you place complete faith and trust in Him. We all experience times of desperation when we feel under attack and vilified. We feel our backs are against the wall and face seemingly insurmountable odds. God will make a way where there seems to be no way, and Pastor Mike shares words of encouragement. It's fascinating how the Lord's supernatural power begins to work if you are firm in your foundation on who He is. It requires obedience and doing all the right things the right way. Purify your heart and humble yourself to draw closer to God, and He will come closer to you. Remain confident that by committing your actions to the Lord, your plans will succeed.
More from Inspire Church
After 25 years of Inspire Church, our mission to reach people, make disciples, and multiply leaders is more important than ever. In this message, we're looking at the leadership lessons of Moses and Jethro in Exodus 18, along with a powerful warning from Judges 9 about what happens when capable people refuse to step up. Whether you're leading at home, at work, or in ministry, God may be calling you into something you've been hesitant to accept. My prayer is that this message challenges you to recognize your calling, grow in your leadership, and trust the Holy Spirit to equip you for what comes next.
This weekend at Inspire Church, I'm talking about something we can never afford to take for granted: the presence of God. It's easy to become familiar with what God is doing and lose the awe, hunger, and expectation we once had. My prayer is that we would make room for God again, not just at church, but in our homes, families, work, and everyday lives. His presence was never meant to be something we experience only on Sundays.
In this message, I'm wrapping up our series through Colossians with a simple challenge: does the way we live actually match what we say we believe? People are watching our walk long before they're listening to our words, and the opportunities God gives us often show up in everyday places—at work, at home, and in ordinary conversations. We're talking about prayer, recognizing open doors, living wisely, and learning how to speak with both truth and grace. My prayer is that this message helps you become more intentional with the life, relationships, and opportunities God has already placed in front of you.
What does it really mean to be rooted in Christ? In this message, Pastor Mike Kai teaches from Colossians about why God calls us to be planted, not potted. Paul gives us a simple truth that changes everything: Jesus + nothing = everything. When our roots grow deep in Christ, something begins to happen beneath the surface. Our faith gets stronger. We learn to stand through storms. And instead of constantly uprooting ourselves when life gets uncomfortable, we learn what it means to stay planted in the right spiritual environment. Because you can look healthy above ground and still have shallow roots. Psalm 92:13 says, "Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God." Maybe you're walking through a storm right now. Maybe God is developing something in you that you can't see yet. Don't uproot what God is trying to grow. God has a longer runway for your life than you can currently see. Get rooted. Stay planted. And trust what God is doing beneath the surface.
There are seasons in life when it feels like everything is falling apart. Maybe you've experienced disappointment, delay, or you've watched something you worked so hard to build come crashing down. I've learned that God never wastes a season. What looks like a setback to us is often God preparing a stronger foundation for what's ahead. In this message, I want to encourage you to trust God's rebuilding process. Don't lose heart in the middle of the construction. God is doing something deeper than what you can see. He's strengthening your faith, shaping your character, and preparing you for the purpose He has on your life. If you'll stay faithful and keep building on the right foundation, you'll discover that what God is building now can become even greater than what came before. The best is not behind you... God is still at work.
