Summary
A new season of The Sleepy Bookshelf, titled "Just Jane," is launched, focusing on reading Jane Austen's complete works. The series aims to provide a soothing experience for listeners, with episodes released every Monday and Wednesday, starting with "Mansfield Park."
The podcast continues with the adventures of Sherlock Holmes, delving into "The Adventure of the Noble Bachelor." The story begins with the mysterious disappearance of Lady St. Simon shortly after her wedding to Lord Robert St. Simon. Despite a seemingly perfect wedding day, she vanishes during the breakfast following the ceremony, leading to speculation about foul play, particularly involving a woman named Flora Miller, who had previously caused a disturbance at the wedding.
Holmes and Dr. Watson analyze the case, gathering details about the bride's character, her relationship with her maid, and the events leading up to her disappearance. Lord St. Simon expresses his concerns and offers insights into his wife's spirited nature and past. As the investigation unfolds, Holmes hints at having already solved the mystery, leaving listeners eager for the resolution.
