Enter if you dare! It is the return of our yearly Halloween Spooktacular where we discuss horror punk, psychobilly, death rock, and goth. Justin is kicking things off with the Samhain tribute act, Son of Sam. Featuring members of AFI, Danzig, and Samhain, Songs from the Earth was the bands debut.
It's time for another birthday spanking! It was Dylan's turn to find an album to punish Justin, and boy did he knock it out of the park...but at what cost? We are talking about noisy art punk band Half Japanese, and their debut 2 hour long album 1/2 Gentlemen / Not Beasts. Strap in folks, this is a tough one.
This week Justin is joined by comedian, writer, and podcast host Adam Tod Brown. Adam broke through during the heyday of Cracked.com, and turned that into the successful You Don't Even Like Podcasts Network. Adam selected the lesser known album prompt, and we are talking about a good mix of different kind of sounds.
Join us as we say farewell to the year 1976 as we retire it after this episode. We are sending them out with a bang by talking about The Runaways debut album. CW: The Runaways story has some very bad stuff in it, and wanted to warn that we will be discussing SA.
This week Justin was given the year 1998 and selected Join Us, the sophomore album by Bluetip. Dischord Records band made up of Jason Farrell and Dave Stern of Swiz fame.
