For 20 years, Andy Little’s life ran on repeat. Same junior groups, same schools, same capped income. Then, on a balcony in Jamaica for his 40th, he watched a Skillest coach teaching golf from Bali and decided to change everything. Today Andy is fully online, done with lessons by 9am, playing his best golf in a dozen years, and about to split his year between the UK and his new place in Dubai. He's the founder of Golf Coaching Business, has been working with Skillest for nine to ten years, and has spent well over a decade helping coaches turn scattered one-off lessons into ...
Ryan Hager, Director of Instruction at Plainfield Country Club in New Jersey, joins the show to talk about his path into coaching, his time training under Jim McLean, and what it's really like teaching at one of the Northeast's elite private clubs. Ryan shares the story of his mentor Wes Mensing, whose sudden death shaped his decision to go into instruction, and breaks down what makes McLean's six-month certification program so demanding: rigorous critical-thinking training, legendary Monday ...
