It’s still January 3rd 1969. The Beatles work on Two of Us before lunch, adding ideas that they’d later use in another song instead. They return from lunch a little merrier, and procrastinate some more before George offers to teach them one of his songs.

This episode ends on a cliffhanger. The Beatles rehearse Two of Us focussing on the middle section. It’s pretty intensive but they all seem in good spirits. And then George drops a bombshell. www.buymeacoffee.com/wodpod
The Beatles get to work rehearsing Get Back. Performances are energetic, John is fully engaged, Paul is nitpicking, Ringo is more vocal than usual and George is sounding increasingly defeated. Even Eric Clapton gets a mention. www.buymeacoffee.com/wodpod
John arrives. Yoko has a new hat. George talks about the Wonderwall film with Dick. Paul conspires with Glyn over song arrangements and we learn where the band Marmalade really got their name. www.buymeacoffee.com/wodpod This episode is re uploaded due to an editing error. Thanks for your patience.
We join Paul, Ringo, Michael, Glyn and visitor Dick James as they exchange pleasantries and talk about last nights TV. Dick discusses Northern Songs’ new acquisition The Lawrence Wright catalogue. This is an entree before a lengthy discussion about the songs which we’ll cover next time. Oh, and there’s a bit on Mary Hopkin. www.buymeacoffee.com/wodpod
After spending virtually no time on George’s new composition, the Beatles spend their final hour and a bit arranging Paul’s Let It Be. Sure it’s a great song but you may not want to hear the intro for a while after listening to this. Denis talks movies with Ringo, John asserts himself in the most hilarious way yet! Paul tries to be more collaborative and George wants an early night. www.buymeacoffee.com/wodpod
