Why Are You Anxious? What "Take No Thought" Means | Sermon on the Mount Pt 27 | Straight Bible
Nephilim Death SquadShow Notes
STRAIGHT BIBLE WEDNESDAY on Nephilim Death Squad.
What did Jesus mean by "take no thought for your life" in Matthew 6:24-34 (KJV)? Not "sit on your porch and wait for life to happen." Take no anxiety: seek the kingdom of God first, then work without worry.
Sermon on the Mount Pt 27, hosted by Matttttt Hepner and TopLobsta.
Matthew 6:24 is the hinge of the chapter. Verses 19-24 warn against coveting abundance, and verses 25-34 warn against being anxious about necessities. Matttttt shows that "take no thought" means take no anxiety, the same idea as "Be careful for nothing" in Philippians 4:6.
From there: losing your life to find it (Matthew 16:24-27), flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom (1 Corinthians 15:50-54), "If God be for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31-39), render unto Caesar and unto God (Luke 20:19-26), "all souls are mine" (Ezekiel 18:4), Moses asking to be blotted out of God's book (Exodus 32:30-33), the books of judgment (Revelation 20:12-15), your children belong to God (Ezekiel 16:20-21), and Paul on Mars Hill (Acts 17:22-28).
Then back to the fowls of the air, which never just sit around, the ant (Proverbs 6:6-11), Adam put in the garden "to dress it and to keep it" before the curse (Genesis 2:7-15), providing for your own house (1 Timothy 5:8), and "if any would not work, neither should he eat" (2 Thessalonians 3:10). The balance: work hard, plan and provide, without anxiety.
What causes you the most anxiety about the future, and how has Matthew 6 changed the way you deal with it?

More from Nephilim Death Squad
A crucifix falls off the wall and kills a priest at the altar, and the internet says he stole $2 million (he didn't: we fact-checked it live). We ask ChatGPT how much the cross weighed, Matt keeps trying to be a better person, and Raven explains why he keeps his stuff "ajar."
Crrow777 returns to Nephilim Death Squad with telescope footage you won't see anywhere else: the "lunar waves" that started a movement, hydrogen-alpha footage of the sun, and an orb that fires plasma into a chemtrail. Crrow777 explains why he calls the moon a luminary and not a rock, why he believes the sun is a hollow converter and not a nuclear furnace (with help from electrical engineer Eric Dollard), why NASA and every space agency are "in the same club," why there's no video of a satellite in space, and why he believes humanity is in an ascending age of consciousness that the people in power are trying to stop.
A traveling preacher shows up in a tiny Kentucky town the weekend a local girl is found murdered. On Sunday a stranger walks in and says a demon woke him up and told him he'd die that day. Then his eyes go white, the room starts moving, and black ooze "like old motor oil" pours out of his mouth into a box of Bibles. Raven and Matt read Anthony's story, then head to West Texas for Kelci's Old Gail High: a one-building school where the roof caved in on the students, a pipe down into an underground room, and a camcorder that caught something large and white flying straight at the lens.
Is the United States the lamb-like beast of Revelation 13? Bible prophecy author Steve Wohlberg (White Horse Media) joins Nephilim Death Squad LIVE to walk through Revelation 13 verse by verse and make his case that America is the beast that "rose up with two horns like a lamb" and will one day speak like a dragon.
Llama skulls, chicken skin and fingers cut off to make three-fingered "alien" hands. UFO documentary filmmaker Darcy Weir joins Nephilim Death Squad LIVE to break down how the Nazca "alien mummies" were made, and why the UFO world keeps falling for grifters, cult prophecies and $333 ascension courses.
