[GIRL CHAT] How I Stay On Track and Intentional All Year Long & December Reflection
BRB with Joelle | Lifestyle & Wellness for Women in their 30sShow Notes
In this month’s Living in Sync girl chat, I’m sharing what’s been on my heart as we wrap up the year — from staying consistent with my goals to not getting caught in the holiday comparison trap. This episode was sparked by a sweet compliment someone gave me about my consistency, which led me to reflect on why I’ve been able to stay on track (even when life feels full and unpredictable). I’m talking through the systems and mindset shifts that help me keep showing up — and how you can make them work for your season too. Inside this episode:
My honest December reflections and how I’m checking in with myself
Thoughts on social media, comparison, and how I’m staying grounded
A peek at my Spotify Wrapped + the music that’s been on repeat
How I set intentional, realistic goals — and why writing things down matters
Why I do quarterly reflections (and how it keeps me from drifting)
A little celebration of this month’s “praise reports” — big and small wins
Final encouragement to stay focused on your own pace, your own growth, and your own story
This one’s part personal catch-up, part pep talk, part planning session — grab your coffee and come hang out with me. 📕 Gap & the Gain Book 💛 Let’s keep the convo going over on Instagram [@joellesuess] — I’d love to hear what you’re celebrating or locking in as we head into a new year!

Welcome to the first official episode of BRB with Joelle! 💛 I’m sharing why it was time to say goodbye to Living in Sync, what BRB means to me, and the more casual, offline direction I want to take the show. Plus, we chat about:
It's been a while, so I'm sharing a little life update! In this episode, I catch you up on what life has looked like over the past few months, including:
In this episode, I’m sitting down for a real-life Q1 update, because the first few months of this year did not go how I expected, but looking back now, I can see how everything kind of unfolded the way it was supposed to. January was really quiet for my podcast production business, and for the first time in a long time, I started seriously thinking about working outside the house again after being self-employed for 13–14 years. I applied for a job I really wanted and didn’t get it, which was disappointing at the time… but as you’ll hear in this episode, that ended up redirecting me in a way I couldn’t have planned. February brought a bit of a health scare when I found a lump and had to go through a mammogram, ultrasound, and biopsy. Thankfully everything came back benign after they drained fluid, but that whole experience definitely makes you pause and think about life a little differently. Around that same time, I also took about a 40-day break from scrolling and social media apps, and honestly, that might have been one of the most impactful things I did this year. It really clarified for me how much I enjoy the physical world — my town, my routines, my family, real conversations — and how I don’t want to live my life primarily online. Then in March, through a friend connection, I ended up interviewing for a job, got an offer, and started in late March. I’m still working with my three long-term podcast clients, but this new chapter has been really grounding and different in a good way. In this episode I also talk about:
This is one of the most honest episodes I’ve recorded in a while. I sat down and hit “record” not with a plan, but with a full heart and an in-between season I know so many of us find ourselves in. If you’ve ever felt stuck, unclear, or like your ambition has nowhere to go right now this one’s for you. In this episode, I’m sharing what I’m doing when I don’t have a clear path forward. We talk about:
In this episode, I’m sharing some of the small but powerful shifts that have helped our family eat healthier — without turning meals into a battle or making a million changes at once. As a certified nutritionist (and busy mom), I get how overwhelming it can feel to overhaul your family’s eating habits. So instead, I’m walking you through the mindset shifts and simple strategies I use to keep things realistic and sustainable — especially during busy seasons. We chat about:
