Preseason Week 2 Recap for 2026 Fantasy Football : Risers, Fallers and Rookies
Fantasy Football is LifeShow Notes
Preseason box scores are close to worthless. Snap shares and route participation are not, and that's the whole difference between guessing and knowing.Zain Dhanani and Dwain McFarland go through Dwain's Week 2 preseason charting — who actually played, with whom, and on which downs — and pull out the situations that should move your draft board this week. The risers get most of the attention. MarShawn Lloyd looked like the clear RB2 in Green Bay and one of the better late-round backs on the board. De'Zhaun Stribling has moved into high-priority territory in San Francisco. KC Concepcion was reportedly the star of Cleveland's joint practices. Seth McGowan looks like the back to roster behind Jonathan Taylor, Ja'Kobi Lane is the favorite for Baltimore's WR3 job, and Jalen Royals, Tai Felton, Matthew Golden, Adonai Mitchell, Caleb Douglas and Malachi Fields all made cases for late-round roster spots. They also get to the guys trending the wrong way — Tyrone Tracy's usage in New York, Jaydon Blue's ball security in Dallas, Isaac TeSlaa's target problem in Detroit and a murky tight end picture in Los Angeles — plus the players who didn't suit up but whose stock still moved, including Tucker Kraft, Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Dylan Sampson and Terrance Ferguson.Along the way: Colston Loveland's snap share and why he looks like a Round 4 cheat code, Christian Watson holding as one of the best picks in Rounds 5 and 6, Jaylen Waddle in Denver, Jonathon Brooks in Carolina, Kenneth Walker in Kansas City, Ladd McConkey with Justin Herbert, and Tetairoa McMillan's role in the Panthers offense.Read Dwain's full Week 2 charting here: https://www.fantasylife.com/articles/fantasy/nfl-preseason-week-2-takeaways-for-fantasy-footballTopics in this video:2026 fantasy football, NFL preseason, preseason week 2 takeaways, snap share, route participation, fantasy football draft strategy, MarShawn Lloyd, De'Zhaun Stribling, KC Concepcion, Seth McGowan, Ja'Kobi Lane, Jalen Royals, Tai Felton, Matthew Golden, Adonai Mitchell, Caleb Douglas, Colston Loveland, Christian Watson, Jaylen Waddle, Jonathon Brooks, Kenneth Walker, Ladd McConkey, Tetairoa McMillan, Tucker Kraft, Terrance Ferguson, Tyrone Tracy, Jaydon Blue, late round targets, fantasy football sleepers ____________

Matthew Freedman and Zain Dhanani go game by game through the entire Week 7 slate, all 14 matchups with the Bills, Jaguars, Commanders and Chargers on bye, using spreads, implied totals, injury reports and coverage data to sort out who’s actually startable and who you’re better off benching.
A juicy waiver week, five young pass catchers taking over, and an Ashton Jeanty comp that Cupps is not going to enjoy.Dwain McFarland and Alex Cupps go through the Week 6 Utilization Report — snaps, routes, rush share, target share — and turn it into the specific moves to make this week, on waivers and in the trade market. They start with the upgrades, and it’s a receiver week. Germie Bernard is still available in half of leagues. Carnell Tate, Jalen Coker, Emeka Egbuka and Matthew Golden are all climbing. At running back, Jaylen Warren and Bhayshul Tuten are both holding steady, though Dwain has some concerns about the Steelers backfield. And there are open questions at tight end on Colston Loveland and Kyle Pitts. Then the downgrades, with Cam Skattebo sliding and a question mark on Michael Wilson. The back half is the biggest waiver section they’ve done. Two priority adds in Omar Cooper Jr. and Antonio Williams, with Terry McLaurin’s season-ending injury opening the Washington target share, plus a reminder that Jordyn Tyson is available in 52% of leagues with a likely Week 9 return. Then the should-be-rostered tier: Tyrone Tracy Jr. at running back, Jaylin Noel, Ja’Kobi Lane, Demario Douglas and Travis Hunter at receiver, and Michael Mayer as a startable tight end now with Terrance Ferguson as an upside stash. Then the short-term and handcuff tier with Roschon Johnson, Samaje Perine, Konata Mumpfield, Christian Kirk and Malachi Fields. They close in the trade market: a buy-low case on A.J. Brown, and sell-high looks at Ashton Jeanty and Breece Hall — including the comp Dwain has been sitting on.The Utilization Report is brought to you by Tenex.ai. Dwain’s Utilization Report and Cupps’ free and premium waiver pieces are both live on the site. Week 6 is finally here, and Alex Cupps and Zain Dhanani has you covered with the latest NFL injury news and the fantasy football impact across every team. 🏈
Matthew Freedman and Zain Dhanani go game by game through the entire Week 6 slate, all 14 matchups with the Lions, Bengals, Vikings and Dolphins on bye, using spreads, implied totals, injury reports and coverage data to sort out who’s actually startable and who you’re better off benching. With four teams off this week, a lot of lineups have holes in them, and most of this episode is about filling them. They open in London with Texans-Jaguars, where Jacksonville is playing its second straight game overseas while Houston flies a league-worst 4,200 miles to get there. Then it’s Bills-Raiders at a 53.5 total, Cardinals-Rams with the Rams carrying the highest implied total on the slate, Bears-Falcons, and the rest of the afternoon. This week the rankings also come with four voices — Zain, Freedman, Dwain and Cupps — and some of the gaps are enormous. Xavier Worthy is WR21 for Zain and WR38 for Cupps. Mark Andrews is TE10 for Zain and TE24 for Cupps. Dalton Kincaid, Rhamondre Stevenson, Germie Bernard, Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Hurts all split the group too.Along the way: Rhamondre Stevenson as a potential top-five back if TreVeyon Henderson sits, Germie Bernard as the week’s top waiver pickup with three Steelers receivers hurt, Mike Evans pushing toward WR1 territory if Deebo Samuel misses again, Matthew Golden in a smash spot on Sunday night, Denzel Boston with Cleveland shorthanded, Braelon Allen with Breece Hall still out, Cam Skattebo against a Saints run defense allowing the most to backs, Brenton Strange and Dalton Schultz as bye-week streamers, Blake Corum in the highest-scoring game environment on the board, and Tyler Higbee without Terrance Ferguson.Plus the fades: Parker Washington against a tough Houston matchup, Trey McBride against the league’s best tight end defense, Patrick Mahomes at Arrowhead against a Chargers team he’s historically struggled with, Omarion Hampton in a three-way committee behind a broken line, Bucky Irving without Baker Mayfield, Jalen Hurts without most of his offense, Bo Nix on short rest, and Jacory Croskey-Merritt losing work to Rachaad White.Zain also has DraftKings salaries and projected ownership on several plays, including Dalton Kincaid, Tre Tucker, Mark Andrews and the Kansas City receivers. Then Cowboys-Packers on Sunday night, Commanders-49ers on Monday, and Seahawks-Broncos on Thursday. If you’ve got a lineup decision you can’t settle, the game is in here.Topics in this video:2026 fantasy football, week 6 start sit, week 6 fantasy football, week 6 bye weeks, fantasy football lineup help, Week 6 matchup breakdown, NFL week 6 odds, NFL DFS, Brenton Strange, Parker Washington, Dalton Schultz, Woody Marks, Dalton Kincaid, James Cook, Tre Tucker, Kirk Cousins, Blake Corum, Tyler Higbee, Jacoby Brissett, Trey McBride, Rome Odunze, Colston Loveland, Kyle Pitts, Drake London, Juwan Johnson, Cam Skattebo, Jameis Winston, Josh Downs, Daniel Jones, Wan’Dale Robinson, Tony Pollard, Rhamondre Stevenson, Braelon Allen, Mark Andrews, Denzel Boston, Xavier Worthy, Patrick Mahomes, Omarion Hampton, Germie Bernard, Bucky Irving, Tetairoa McMillan, Chuba Hubbard, Jalen Hurts, MarShawn Lloyd, Matthew Golden, Jake Ferguson, George Kittle, Mike Evans, Rachaad White, Emanuel Wilson, Sam Darnold, J.K.
