Show Notes
What happens when Africana ritualistic items leave the ceremony and hit the runway for exorbitant prices? Is this a siphoning of ancestral magic or an amplification of it? How might this tie into the elderly women across Ghana being banned from their communities for being “witches?” Is the juju healing, harming, or simply profiting?

Let’s really talk about the complexities of venerating and working with “white ancestors” and which people need to be prioritizing it before US. We get into the Black healing tradition of Vick’s Vaporub and how it was actually stolen from a Black woman, and why we should all be paying attention to the Caribbean island of Bonaire, right now.
Esu is not the devil, Black women are the mules of the world, but it doesn’t mean we have no responsibility to address social issues and on top of that, the ginger ale ain’t got no ginger in it!!! Are we good?
I’m not going to lie ya’ll, I’m venting alot because where we are as Black people in this time has me completely shook. We are now asserting that the transatlantic slave trade wasn’t real and claiming we don’t have African ancestry. IS EVERYBODY OK?
