"Disclosure Day" is finally here, and we've got an early, spoiler-free review on this midweek episode of our Breakfast All Day podcast. Steven Spielberg's latest sci-fi summer blockbuster finds Emily Blunt and Josh O'Connor trying to understand their connection with the alien world, and each other. Co-starring Colin Firth, Colman Domingo and Eve Hewson. It's in theaters June 12, but we wanted to talk about it as soon as we possibly could. Come back next Tuesday, June 16 for a "Disclosure Day" LIVE spoiler chat. That'll be at Noon Pacific over at our Breakfast All Day YouTube channel. We also reviewed both versions of "Cape Fear" -- the films from 1962 and 1991 -- in preparation for the Apple TV series, which we've begun recapping right here at our Patreon. Watch along with us and share your thoughts, as well as your memories of Robert Mitchum and Robert De Niro in the terrifying Max Cady role. Thanks for spending some of your time with us! It's Arthouse Tuesday on a Friday here at Breakfast All Day. We've already reviewed the big movie everyone's talking about this week, the Elizabeth Holmes documentary "You Can See Everything." And as for "Street Fighter," Alonso did a quick out-of-the-theater reaction. But there are always plenty of new movies to discuss. Here's what we reviewed on our latest episode: LA BOLA NEGRA. It's a sweeping historical drama and a queer Spanish romance. And it was a very big deal at this year's Cannes Film Festival, where the directors, known collectively as Los Javis, won the top prize. Playing in theaters now before streaming on Netflix starting Dec. 2.
October means all the movies are very long and important. Well, most of them are. Here's what we reviewed on the latest episode of our Breakfast All Day podcast. YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING. This is a very early look at the Elizabeth Holmes documentary, so it's a non-spoiler review, because there's a lot you're going to want to discover and discuss on your own. Directors Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim spent a month with the disgraced Theranos founder in her home before she had to report to prison for defrauding investors. The results are mesmerizing. In theaters Oct. 16, then come to our LIVE spoiler chat on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at Noon Pacific and we'll really get into it.
It's a big midweek episode of our Breakfast All Day podcast. Here's what we've got for you this time: THE SOCIAL RECKONING. Aaron Sorkin's follow-up to David Fincher's searing 2010 drama "The Social Network" focuses on Facebook -- and its founder -- from a different angle. This one's more of a journalistic procedural, and we don't agree on it. Starring Jeremy Allen White, Mikey Madson, Betty Gilpin, Wunmi Mosaku, Bill Burr, and Jeremy Strong as Mark Zuckerberg. In theaters this weekend.
A ridiculously huge episode of Breakfast All Day to kick off October. Here's what we reviewed this week: DIGGER. Tom Cruise teams up with Alejandro G. Iñárritu for a massive, cacophonous climate change parable. We couldn't stand it, but we were also in awe of its cinematography and production design. Riz Ahmed, John Goodman, Sandra Hüller and Jesse Plemons co-star. In theaters. And once you've seen the movie, come to our LIVE spoiler chat at our YouTube channel on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at Noon Pacific.
We are in the thick of fall movie season now, and you're here with us. Here's what we reviewed on this week's episode of our Breakfast All Day podcast. PRIMETIME. Robert Pattinson IS Chris Hansen, host of the NBC series "To Catch a Predator" in the early aughts. The film is lurid and Pattinson gives an enjoyably garish performance. In theaters.
