LOUIS – Oli Sykes, the lead singer of British rock band Bring Me the Horizon, says he suffered a mild concussion after an audience member apparently threw a phone that struck him onstage Monday evening at the Enterprise Center. A video shared by BMTH News, a platform that promotes the band, showed a phone striking Sykes on the left side of his head as the band performed a tune called “Happy Song.” “Who the f*** just threw a phone at my f*****g head?” said Sykes, following the completion of “Happy Song,” visibly distraught after he was struck. The video later shows Sykes handing the phone to a security worker. He also appeared to check his hands for blood and paused several times during the next song to rub his head. According to a Billboard report, on Tuesday, Sykes shared an update on his condition Tuesday via an Instagram story. “Alright everyone, just wanted to let you know I’m all good,” said Sykes. “The phone to the head definitely smarted and I ended up with a mild concussion, but the swelling’s gone down a decent amount already.” (Fox 2 St. Louis)
