I was really interested to learn about digital achievers, folk who preserve physical artefacts by scanning them to make a digital copy for posterity. So me and Shameen went to Galway to meet Gary Dempsey of Digital Heritage Age to learn all about it and chat sheela na gigs and other Irish artefacts too. Fungie was a bottleneck dolphin who lived in Dingle Harbour for nearly 40 years and took Ireland by solar flare with his gregarious habit of coming right up to boats to say hello! Fungie brought a lot of tourism and business to Dingle and even folk who went to him for his supposed healing powers, until he vanished in 2020. So while we was down there in Dingle for Paddys Day we met Jamie Ó Flannúra, who's seen and worked alongside Fungie all his life on the Dingle boats.
