This Doctor Dodged R*pe Allegations For Years by Fooling Forensic Science.. Dr. JOHN SCHNEEBERGER

You Can't Unhear

Show Notes

On Halloween night in 1992, a young woman known as Candy accused her trusted physician, Dr. John Schneeberger, of drugging and sexually assaulting her at a hospital in Kipling, Saskatchewan, Canada. Medical evidence supported her account, but repeated DNA tests appeared to clear the doctor. Refusing to give up, Candy pursued the investigation for years. Then, in 1997, allegations involving Schneeberger's stepdaughter led police to uncover a shocking deception: the doctor had surgically implanted a tube containing another man's blood beneath his skin to manipulate DNA testing. This episode of You Can't Unhear explores the Schneeberger case, the failure of early forensic testing, and the persistence that exposed the truth.
