#367 Inside the Occult: Ritual Magick, the Golden Dawn, and the Way Out | Jac Marino
The Alisa Childers PodcastShow Notes
In this episode, Alisa sits down with Jac Marino, a former self-described sorceress involved in ritual magick to explore her journey out of the New Age and occult. Jac shares how subtle ideas like manifestation, “Christ consciousness,” and spiritual autonomy drew her in long before she recognized the danger.
This conversation goes beyond surface-level warnings. Jac explains how she was lured into the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, and how the occult often disguises itself as harmless—or even “spiritual." She explains why so many people, including those raised in the church, are being pulled toward these deceptions today. From the promise of control and identity to the blending of Jesus into New Age frameworks, she unpacks the core beliefs that make these systems so appealing—and so deceptive.
You’ll also hear practical insight for parents and Christians navigating a culture where these ideas are no longer fringe, but trending. If you’ve ever wondered why practices like manifestation, crystals, or tarot feel so normalized—or how to discern truth from counterfeit spirituality—this episode provides clarity.
Jac’s new book, Insnared: Overcoming the Darkness of the New Age and Occult with the Light of God’s Truth, releases July 7. Pre-order today: https://a.co/d/09SWMGdH
