old-school adj. 旧式的；老派的 =old-fashioned His management style is kind of old-school. It’s not effective at all. 他的管理风格有点老派。并不是很有效。
注 我们经常听到这个词是来自于一些嘻哈歌手，用这个词形容嘻哈音乐。old school hip hop指的是旧式嘻哈，源自于20世纪七八十年代起源于纽约街头的block parties歌手们所演唱的音乐类型。
old-school adj. 酷的 多用于年轻人，形容一件事物 Man. I love your shoes. It's so old-school. Where did you get them? 天呐！我喜欢你的鞋子。很酷。在哪买的？
The old school n. (观念、价值观、为人做事)老派/ 守旧的人 My dad is of the old school. He is still using his old flip phone. 我爸爸是个守旧的人。他现在用的还是那部旧翻盖手机。
school n. 鱼群 Look! A school of dolphins are jumping and playing in the sea over there! 看！一群海豚正在那边的海里跳跃嬉戏。
school of hard knocks 逆境；艰苦生活的磨练 The boy is spoiled and he has never gone through the school of hard knocks. 这个男孩被惯坏了。他从来没有经历过艰苦生活的磨练。
