Episode 66 | Preparing for an LDS Mission: Faith, Readiness, and Discipleship

This episode is Part Two of Lizzy’s series about serving an LDS mission.

Last week, Lizzy talked about how to know whether you should serve. In this episode, she turns to the next question: how do you actually prepare?

Lizzy shares the spiritual frameworks that shaped her own mission experience and continue to shape her discipleship today. Through scripture stories, personal reflection, and practical encouragement, she explores why God qualifies those He calls, how Jesus Christ modeled the pattern for spiritual growth, and how missionaries can learn to become instruments in God’s hands.

If you’re preparing for a mission, considering serving, or simply trying to grow closer to God, this episode offers perspective, reassurance, and a reminder that discipleship is a lifelong journey—not just an 18-month assignment.
