Lightning Minerals managing director and CEO Troy Brice talked with Proactive about the company’s option agreement with Kincora Copper, which provides a funded pathway for exploration of Lightning Minerals’ Lachlan Fold Belt tenements while allowing the company to concentrate on its priority projects.
Under the agreement, Kincora has secured an exclusive nine-month option over the Lachlan Fold Belt portfolio. Brice said the arrangement had been developing in the background for some time and described it as a positive outcome for both parties.
The agreement supports Lightning Minerals’ strategy of concentrating its capital and management attention on its flagship projects, particularly Mt Turner and the Warby Tungsten Project in Queensland.
Looking ahead, Brice said investors could expect updates from the drilling campaign at Boree Creek South, results from drilling at Mt Turner and further progress at Warby, including drill targeting ahead of planned work in the first quarter of 2027.
