Show Notes
We finish Netflix's Stranger Things 3 with the finale episode, "The Battle of Starcourt". We found it gross, hilarious, thrilling, and touching, which means we thought it was a pretty great ending to a pretty great season of Stranger Things. I can see how people who are kind of sick of the nostalgia pandering, the product placement, and skeptical of some of the more outlandish breaks in the action to allow for drama, but we loved every minute of it. But what did you think? We'll be back next week to talk more in depth about how we felt about the season, what we think about the teaser for next, and to consider your feedback. After nearly a decade in the Upside Down, Stranger Things finally brings it home. Episodes 5–8 of the final season aim high, close loops, and, most importantly, stick the landing. Jim and A.Ron talk about the relief of a well-earned ending, the emotional payoff of watching these characters grow up in real time (and then some), and why it feels good to say goodbye on a high note.
Is Eleven dead? Does Will still have powers? Steve and Anthony wrap up our coverage of Stranger Things. We both love parts of the season finale and resolve to forgive other parts. Also, is there such a thing as too much Prince?
Anthony learns for the first time of the Stranger Things prequel play. Steve explains the key points. Then they do a bit of wormhole theory crafting.
Steve and Anthony talk about Ted's masculinity and about Jonathan's wig. Steve has a few theories that prove unconvincing to Anthony. Anthony is still holding a flame for Linda Hamilton.
